You will ask for an estimate, most times they will give you the estimate for free. You may want to ask to see the kind of work they produce to see that their quality matching with what you are expecting. You should look into a few shops before deciding which one is best for you and your vehicle.

Next they will schedule you a time to come in. They should tell you how long it will take to repair your vehicle ahead of time so you can prepare and make arrangements if needed. Most times wheel rim repair can be completed quickly so you may not necessarily need a rental. Then they will begin work on your vehicles wheel rims.

They first begin by inspecting the wheel rims looking for any bends or cracks. Any bends or cracks would get straightened before any other work would be done to them. You will want to make sure that they will complete the repair without the use of heat since that can compromise the temper or composition of the alloy wheel rim. If your wheel rims have scrapes or scratches they will clean and then sandblast the wheel rims. Once that is complete they will weld in any missing pieces. Then a top quality primer is applied to the wheel rims. After that they will color match the wheel rims with technology to ensure the color matches the other wheel rims, with two clear coats on top of the paint. Last it is cooked under a shortwave light to harden it and protect it from future damage. It comes out looking great! Most shops will give you a warranty on their work as well if there are any problems.
